Featherweight Maintenance Class



Subjects covered:

Identify the main parts of the Featherweight and their function. 
Oiling points and when and how to oil the machine. 
How to apply grease to the gears and motor. 
Stitch formation and how to troubleshoot stitch and tension problems. 
How to adjust the tension in the bobbin case and the upper tension unit. 

We'll also learn about the tools necessary for working on our Featherweights and have the opportunity to purchase the tools and materials we need.

Please bring an old towel and an apron, your Featherweight, tools and attachments, a small flashlight, a notebook and a pencil.  We have put together a kit that includes everything you'll need to maintain your Featherweight.  The kit and individual supplies will be available for purchase at the class so if you don't already have tools and supplies don't worry, we'll have them available.  

*All classes are subject to cancellation or rescheduling if the need arises.  If a class has to be cancelled or rescheduled and you are unable to attend the new class your class fee will be refunded to your shop account.

**Cancellations without 2 weeks notice are not refundable.
