Moda Blockheads is a unique "mystery" style project where participants build a stunning sampler quilt one block at a time. Whether you are a seasoned quilter or just beginning to explore the world of patchwork, this class offers a structured yet flexible environment to sharpen your techniques.

What to Expect

In this class, we dive into the diverse world of **Moda Designers**, featuring patterns from industry favorites. You will work through a series of blocks that vary in style, from traditional piecing to modern geometric designs.

Skill Building: Master foundational techniques including half-square triangles, flying geese, and precise 1/4" seam allowances.

Fabric Play: Learn how to curate a cohesive color palette or use your "stash" to create a scrap-friendly masterpiece.

Community & Support: Share your progress, troubleshoot tricky blocks, and get inspired by the different layout options chosen by your fellow classmates.

Recommended Supplies
* A mix of fat quarters or a curated fabric pull.
* Standard quilting notions (rotary cutter, acrylic ruler, and cutting mat).
* Neutral 50wt cotton thread for piecing.
* A sewing machine in good working order.

Bring your sense of adventure and get ready to piece together a beautiful sampler, one block at a time!

*Open sew seats are non-refundable or transferable.

*Participants need to sign up for the open sew 24 hours in advance to ensure space for them in the group.  Day of registration may not be available. Open sew sessions will be cancelled if not enough people have signed up 24 hours beforehand.  If that happens, the fee will be refunded to your shop account.
