Collage Quilts with Pebble Wells

Ready to unleash your creativity and have some fun!

Pebble will teach you how to make collage quilts two different ways / processes.  After explaining how the Fiberworks patterns are written and how Pebble “collages”, you willl have the option to choose which process you want to use.  (Pebble’s way is easier - just ask her.)

Students may select any of the Fiberworks Collage patterns for class.  There are many to choose from and JK Quilts has a great selection.  JK Quilts is also putting together fabric flower packets to get you started with a nice array of florals. As you likely know, most of the Collage deisigns have a lot of flowers in different sizes and colors.

Friday evening class will cover backgrounds and basic collage construction. Saturday will be spent creating your Collage and mastering the technique.

If you are comfortable using a fusible, you may fuse and cut out flowers prior to class.  However, do NOT fuse any background fabrics.  A supply sheet will be provided with additional information at sign up.
This is a really fun class and Pebble aims to guarantee success without frustration.

*All classes are subject to cancellation or rescheduling if the need arises. If a class has to be cancelled or rescheduled and you are unable to attend the new class your class fee will be refunded to your shop account.

**Cancellations without 2 weeks’ notice are not refundable.

Instructor: Pebble Wells
Instructor Bio: Meet Pebble Wells…..Starting out as a garment seamstress many years ago, Pebble caught the quilting bug years later and began teaching quilt classes in the 90’s at her local shop.  After that shop closed in 2008, Pebble and dear friend Lisa opened their own quilt shop in Southern California while both continued to work full time in the corporate world for a few years.  What a whirlwind of crazy times that was!  After 15 years of shop ownership, OQB was sold and Pebble recently moved to Idaho following family that relocated and absolutely loves living here.  Passionate about quilting, Pebble wanted to remain active in the quilting community and teach quilt classes. Her favorite kind of quilting is “little” pieces, collage quilts, curved piecing, bargello using both modern and traditional fabrics.  Pebble has two grown children and five grandkids in ID and still in CA.  Pebble says she has made amazing friendships with welcoming quilters here in Idaho.
