Framed & Reframed
Class Description:
This class is like getting “two for one”. The difference in these two patterns is the fabric choices. Want to use a non-directional
Layer Cake? Then “Framed” is for you. But if you want to use Fat Quarters, directional fabric, a panel, or focus fabric then
you’ll want “Re-Framed”. The designer of these patterns, Carolyn Hutchinson will be teaching the class and sharing tips &
techniques for making this fun quilt. With so many variations, it has become a favorite “go to” pattern of many quilters.
With clear instructions and lots of diagrams, you will cut your fabric prior to the first class. However, if you struggle with
choosing the right “Frame” fabric, you can wait to shop for that piece until the first session and Carolyn will help you. She will
have lots of examples to show you how the “Frame” fabric has a big impact of the look of your finished quilt.
The first session we will begin constructing “units” and then “blocks." You will have three weeks to complete all your blocks.
When we meet for the second session, we will work on the layout of the quilt. Carolyn will share some tips on reviewing your
placement of the blocks and a trick to always sew your blocks together without getting them turned the wrong direction.
There will be prizes at each session, so come join the fun.
